Sovchilar is a live community networking platform built for Central Asian diaspora — friendship, professional networking, language exchange, mentorship, cultural connection, and community events. Members discover people by goals, languages, lifestyle, and place, see how well profiles fit, and connect with purpose. Messaging opens when interest is mutual.

Coral #FF4D5E and cyan #00B5E2 drive the system. The public site opens on a full-bleed hero landing with EN / Русский / Özbek language switching and a clear path into magic-link sign-in.

What we built

• Discover with fit scores — browse people ranked by how well goals, languages, lifestyle, and place align; skip what you don’t care about and refine later.
• Connect / pass — intentional requests instead of an endless feed; when both sides connect, messaging unlocks.
• Mutual messaging — conversations stay gated on mutual interest.
• Invites that earn Pro — successful invites grow the community and unlock Pro benefits for the inviter.
• Free vs Pro limits — clear ceilings on discovery and connection volume; Stripe-backed Pro for members who want more reach.
• Privacy by default — peers see first name + last initial; profiles stay grounded for community networking, not spectacle.
• Trust signal — a cyan Pro checkmark badge sits next to member names so verified Pro status is obvious in lists and threads.
• i18n — English, Russian, and Özbek across the product surface.
• Legal + admin — Terms, Privacy, Billing, and Legal pages, plus an admin console for operations.

Stack

Shipped as a Next.js app on Cloudflare Workers via OpenNext, with D1, KV, and R2 for data and assets, Stripe for Pro billing, and magic-link email auth — no passwords to remember or reset.
